OBJECTIVE

Under the guidance of Ministry of Steel, Govt. of India and in association with National Institute of Secondary Steel Technology (NISST), Biju Patnaik National Steel Institute (BPNSI) & Central Glass & Ceramic Research Institute (CSIR), KATM is organizing a two days National Seminar. It will provide a suitable platform for discussions on technologies at various stages of ironmaking, steelmaking, ladle refining, continuous casting, direct rolling, automation, energy saving opportunities& environmental issues. Latest developments in refractories for Iron & Steel Plants and Development of low cost lining material for Induction Furnace suitable for Dephosphorisation will also be presented.

The National Institute of Secondary Steel Technology (NISST) is established by Ministry of Steel, Govt. of India with objectives of Human Resources Development and Technology Upgradation in Steel Sector. The Institute is working for the benefit of Steel sector comprising mainly Ironmaking, Steelmaking & Rolling industries since more than 29 years. The focus areas are Energy Audits, Furnace Improvement Studies, Productivity Improvement Studies, Training Programs, Seminars and Workshops at all India basis, Research & Development and testing services. Biju Patnaik National Steel Institute (BPNSI), under Ministry of Steel, Government of India is working for the development of Steel Sector with an emphasis on the Secondary Steel Sector. The Institute mainly focuses on Education & Training.
