DGAD recommends anti-dumping duty on coke, coated steel: Sources

The Directorate General of Anti Dumping (DGAD) has recommended anti-dumping duty on metallurgical coke imported from China and Australia. An anti-dumping duty has also been proposed on coated steel from China.
The DGAD has suggested USD 25 per tonne import duty on metallurgical coke coming from China, USD 16 per tonne on coke imported from Australia and USD 849 per tonne on coated steel from China.
The duty on coated steel, which is also one of the products covered under the minimum import price till December 5, is in response to the application filed by companies like JSW Steel, Bhushan Steel and Uttam Galva. The proposal is yet to be notified by the Central Board of Excise and Customs before it can be implemented.
