China’s largest PSA oxygen equipment exported to JSW Steel

26 December 2016

India’s leading private sector steel producer, JSW Steel, was the recipient of the oxygen system.

The company signed a contract with PKU Pioneer as it continues to expand its crude steel production capacity, with the latter providing a VPSA (vacuum pressure swing adsorption) oxygen plant with a capacity of 15,000 Nm3/h to a purity of 93%.

The system will be for a retrofit project of JSW Steel’s blast furnace.

VPSA technology was chosen for the project due to its lower energy consumption, more stable operation, and higher return on investment.

PKU Pioneer also pointed out that the energy consumption of their VPSA oxygen equipment has now achieved 0.33kwh/m3 or lower.
