In a recent development, the union Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEFCC) has accorded environment clearance for expansion of Manikpur OCP coal mine. It earlier had environment clearance of 3.50 MTPA, which has now been extended to 4.90 MTPA. This expansion will help towards achievement of annual target of coal production.
